Picture It - Beyonce "Summer Renaissance" Music Video Idea

Here's another music video idea for a song off of Beyonce's "Renaissance"... This is my vision for the song Summer Renaissance..

This idea is inspired by past renaissance periods and the idea of a new renaissance period emerging and breaking through led by Beyonce.. It’s a bit of a trippy idea.. (Pics for Reference, should be in order of idea description)

The music video begins with us looking at the fresco painting School of Athens by one of the architects of the High Renaissance, Raphael. The song begins, the first six seconds are us slowly zooming into the painting, but something is different. The painting that once featured the likes of great philosophers and scientists that pushed the boundaries of thought, now features Beyonce and her band of leaders in their place. We enter the painting, thus entering the full three dimensional world they are inhabiting.

She begins singing.. 0:07-0:24 everyone is calm, in their positions, slightly moving until the beat drop of “Sexy mother-”.. Everyone breaks convention and begins dancing, nothing choreographed, but just natural feels and movements from 0:25-0:39.. During this time the world (the sky, buildings, etc) is blinking different colors as if someone cut on a party light. At 0:40 the vibe changes.

From 0:40-0:55 the reality they are in starts to break. We can see the fabric of space and time being ripped apart. In these dimensional rips, laser lights, smoke and club lighting peek through from a different time period.. Something is trying to break through. During this moment, time has become something else as everyone is now moving in a sort of slow motion and a strange gust of wind is now blowing to where it lifts everyone and everything in the air at 0:56. From 0:56- 1:19 everyone is floating in an ethereal way to the music.. Fabrics dance in the wind around everyone as they ascend higher and higher.

1:20-1:26 we transition to another time period where we land in New York 1920s/30s during the Harlem Renaissance… 1:27-1:43 Beyonce and crew are strutting down a main street in Harlem at night. Artistic, intellectual and cultural revolution is in the air. We see painters, writers, musicians, orators, etc living life. We see people gradually join Beyonce as she struts down the street amassing a crowd. The drop of “Sexy mother-” happens again and the vibe changes. Now it’s a block party. 1:44-1:59 everyone is dancing and all the lights (street lights, building lights, car lights, etc) are flashing and blinking to the music. 2:00-2:16 we get a choreogarphed number with Beyonce and a few on top of a car with everyone else in the streets. Everything goes silent for that 1 second at 2:17 (The “Fuck it up”) then the reality starts to break again like we had seen before. From 2:18-2:33, the same concept happens like earlier where the fabric of space and time is being ripped apart with modern laser lights and such, something is trying to break through again. At 2:34 everyone and everything is lifted into the air again as they all float and party in the sky until 2:58.

2:58-3:05 we transition as if we have went through a portal and ended up in a new world, the new renaissance period, or Beyonce’s Renaissance. This new world/period is the one that had been trying to break through in the previous periods that were shown. Now we are fully here and it’s a big party. Everyone in their silver outfits with Beyonce leading the party through the rest of the song. The call and response section (3:05-3:37) is depicted through her and the crowd doing choreography.. The rest of the song plays out with Beyonce as the focal floating above everyone as they bring in the new era…
