Here's a Beyonce music video idea for "Church Girl" from her Renaissance album with some reference photos...
This would be set mid century (1950's-1960s) in the south as Beyonce is a traveling evangelist with a group of merry women doing tent revivals spreading the gospel truth and setting women free from the shackles of society.
We open on a big tent in what looks to be the middle of nowhere on a windy and dusty southern desert. People are gathered to the hear the word of this unorthodox speaker who has been causing quite a stir.
The song begins... The sample at the beginning is being sung by some people in the choir as everyone is getting seated, then the beat comes in. The women in Beyonce's group present her to the crowd and she steps up on stage to the podium to speak.
The first verse is her addressing the congregation, then at 0:57 as she begins the drop it part, she sends the congregation into a frenzy.. women jump up as if they are shouting but it's a hybrid of shouting and choreography, everyone else stunned at what's happening...
Then at 1:18, "Church girl don't hurt nobody", the wind takes the tent and everyone clears the area in a hurry except Beyonce, her band of women and the newly "saved" women and they hit choreography in the windy desert
On the last "you can get it tatted if you want to" the women run onto the church bus where they proceed to turn up as it pulls off with a mix of freestyle and choreography inside the bus until 1:44... then we transition to the second verse and new setting..
We are now in a foggy bayou.. there's a choir in the background standing in the water and someone in the forefront getting baptized.. Liturgical dancers slowly wade in the water as well.. Beyonce delivers the second verse like a sermon, the choir doing the backing vocals
As the second verse continues, "Soon as I get in this party.." things are getting riled up again.. the women are getting excited until 2:25, the energy shifts again and with a quick camera transition the bayou has now turned into a party outside with lights and everything... During this chorus everyone has thrown articles of their clothing off and is in the water free and dancing..
On the next "Church girl don't hurt nobody".. We transition to a juke joint, men and women partying having a great time. It's packed, hot and all great vibes. The feeling is that this is almost like a place of worship.. Crazy choreography is happening in the middle of the place with Beyonce leading the pack... people hang off the sides cheering and encouraging... there's money falling everywhere because there's multiple baskets being passed around collecting dollars
The rest of the song plays out until about 3:34, then we have a quick transition to the inside of a real church where all the women you saw including Beyonce are seated as if nothing had transpired the day before, Beyonce finishes the last line directly looking in the camera.
That's as quick of an overview of the idea I could give without this being super long, but of course there's more detail.. whoever reads, hope you enjoyed and hope your imagination ran with it..
